THINK ABOUT THIS...

What is the shortest chapter in the Bible? (Answer - Psalms 117)

What is the longest chapter in the Bible? (Answer - Psalms 119)

Which chapter is in the center of the Bible (Answer - Psalms 118)

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118

Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118

Add these numbers up and you get 1188

What is the center verse in the Bible? (Answer - Psalms 118:8)

Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives? The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word! Psalms 118:8 (NKJV) "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?

Here's an incredible fact about the 119 Psalm that I discovered only a few months ago while studying this Psalm in the NIV version. There are 176 verses in this longest chapter in the Bible, 170 of these verses refer directly to the truth of God's word, his laws, decrees, promises, statues, commands and only 6 do not.

As you read this most interesting chapter you will find that the following verses are the only ones in Psalm 119 that do not mention God's word ,laws, decrees, promises, statues, commands and these are those verses ; 3 , 84, 90, 121, 122, and 132. here are these 6 verses written into one single paragraph starting with verse 3 and ending with verse 132.

As you read see what these 6 verses say to you and at the end I will give you my thoughts. "they do nothing wrong they walk in his ways , must your servant wait? when will you punish my persecutors?, your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth and it endures, I have done what is righteous and just, do not leave me to my oppressors, ensure your servants well being let not the arrogant oppress me, turn to me and have mercy on me as you always do to those who love your name."

My thoughts are that when you read these verses as one are they not one prayer, one message one petition to our Heavenly Father by or on behalf of all those Christians who at this very hour are being severely persecuted all over this world.

Is not the word of God living and active, sharper than any two edged sword? Hebrews 4 : 12.
